Students Safety Insurance

Eligibility
All students of school / institutions from LKG to Degree course. Inclusion of teaching and non-teaching staff is optional.
The policy will be issued in the name of school/Institutions.
The cover is round the clock and not restricted to school or college times.

Claims Procedure
Immediate notice of claim to the company by the institutions
Claim form and other certificates like medical certificate, Postmortem report, death certificate, Fir, etc. shall be produced within 14 days to the company.
Claim will be payable to the parents or the guardian of the students as recorded in the school register as certified by the school authority.

Individual and HUF Applicants who are citizens of India and located within India at the time of application for PAN:
Copy of any one of the following will serve as a proof of identity:

  • School leaving certificate
  • Matriculation certificate
  • Degree of recognized educational institution
  • Depository account statement
  • Valid Credit card
  • Bank account statement
  • Water bill
  • Ration card
  • Property tax assessment order
  • Passport
  • Voter's identity card
  • Driving license
  • Certificate of identity signed by a Member of Parliament or Member of Legislative Assembly or Municipal Councilor or a Gazetted Officer.

PAN Card


PAN

Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a ten-digit alphanumeric number, issued in the form of a laminated card, by an Assessing Officer of the Income Tax Department.

PURPOSE OF PAN

It is mandatory to quote PAN on return of income, all correspondence with any income tax authority and challans for any payments due to Income Tax Department.

It is also compulsory to quote PAN in all documents pertaining to economic or financial transactions notified from time-to-time by the Central Board of Direct Taxes.

Some such transactions are sale and purchase of immovable property or motor vehicle or payments to hotels for bills or payments in cash, of amounts exceeding Rs. 25,000/-, in connection with travel to any foreign country.

It is also mandatory to mention PAN for obtaining a telephone or cellular telephone connection.

Likewise, PAN has to be mentioned for making a time deposit exceeding Rs. 50,000/- with a Bank or Post Office or depositing cash of Rs. 50,000/- or more in a Bank.All existing assesses or taxpayers or persons who are required to furnish a return of income, even on behalf of others, must obtain PAN.

Any person, who intends to enter into economic or financial transactions where quoting PAN is mandatory, must also obtain PAN.

The Assessing Officer may allot PAN to any person either on his own or on a specific request from such person.

PAN application can be made only on new Form 49A that may be obtained from IT PAN Service Center at a cost of Rs. 5/- per form.

documents and information have to be submitt:

Individual applicants will have to affix one recent, coloured photograph (Stamp Size: 3.5 cms x 2.5 cms) on Form 49A;

Any one document listed in Rule 114 must be supplied as proof of ?Identity? and ?Address?; and

Designation and code of the concerned Assessing Officer of Income Tax department will have to be mentioned in Form 49A.

Track your PAN card status online

A Web-enabled tracking system to enable tax payers and applicants to find out the status of their PAN cards will also be set up within two months, where applicants can find out their status by entering their details.

The applications will be collected by UTI-ISL and sent to the National Computer Centre of the Income-Tax department which will allot the numbers. The cards with new hologram and security features will be prepared by the company.

The UTIISL is setting up a Web-based system for monitoring movement of each application till the PAN card is delivered to the applicant.

Future PAN applicants will be able to ascertain status of their application through such Web-based query system.
